Job Description

The Country Club Rehabilitation Campus of Bellaire is looking for a RN ADON. This person will interact with all in-house departments, have contact with physicians, outside agencies, and have direct contact with residents and families. You will assist in planning, organizing and directing of nursing services. Work with DON to manage hiring, training, evaluation, and supervision of department employees. Direct and coordinate infection control program and quality assurance program. Address problems/concerns in nursing department and help develop solutions.
Additional duties and responsibilities include:
Personnel Supervision
  • Acts as Director of Nursing in Director's absence;
  • Assists in employee selection, hiring, training, evaluation, and disciplinary procedures;
  • Provides direct floor supervision as required;
  • Assists in development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures;
  • Overseeing scheduling of all nurses and overseeing scheduling of nurse assistants. Skin Care, Assists with tracking skin condition of the residents. Infection Control
  • Ensures there is an infection control program.
Monitors charges for supplies Understands nursing programs and either oversees nursing programs, assists with nursing programs, or ensures nursing programs are being follower through (nursing programs include Falls Program, Restraint Program, and etc.) Monitors TB and HBV testing and record keeping Keeps Master List of issues Monitors census Provides OSHA required training for facility staff Understands MDS+ and Care Plans Understands restorative Program Understands care conference meetings Understands Assisted Living and assists with supervision of Assisted Living Makes chart audits Understands the Ohio laws and rules along with federal regulations Performs mock surveys Responsible for communicating to Director of Nursing regarding programs needed, policies and procedures and problems with solutions Assesses, plans and evaluates the effectiveness of the nursing department with others, both internal and external Interacts with families and visitors to ensure understanding and support of residents care and needs May be called upon to perform tours of the community or to obtain inquiry information from visitors or perspective residents. Assesses, plans, and evaluates residents' care and its delivery Is available for "on call" status for emergency situations to provide direct care and supervision of care and staff Provides input for the development of the departmental budget Responsible for ensuring the department budget is handled appropriately during assigned shift Make frequent rounds to evaluate and direct care of residents and the performance of staff ensuring compliance with all Country Club quality standards, federal/state guidelines, and other applicable accrediting agencies Uses appropriate infection control techniques at all times Documents and reports trends and findings to the Director of Nursing and to the Quality enhancement Facilitator or Quality Assessment and Improvement Committee Attends various committee meetings of the community of Corporation, as required Attends and participates in in-service education and staff meetings Maintains confidential information in accordance with Country Club policy Thinks and acts calmly and logically to meet unusual occurrences of the position without being flustered Performs any miscellaneous work assignments as may be required or assigned Cooperates with inter-departmental personnel, as well as, other community personnel to assure that nursing services can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the resident Is involved with resident, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., under various conditions and circumstances In a member of the Utilization Review Committee, tracks Medicare residents, and completes Medicare Utilization Report.
