Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a pivotal role in overseeing patient care and ensuring the highest standards of nursing practices are maintained. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively while providing exceptional care to patients in various settings, including assisted living and home care environments. Duties Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities to ensure optimal outcomes. Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients, focusing on their unique needs. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Provide airway management and tube feeding as necessary, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care. Educate patients and families on health management, treatment options, and preventive measures. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed based on clinical evaluations. Weekend availability is a must. Skills Proficient in assisted living practices and senior care methodologies. Strong knowledge of ICD-9 coding for accurate medical documentation. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to nursing. Ability to perform airway management procedures effectively. Experience with tube feeding techniques and related patient care tasks. Familiarity with laboratory processes and collaboration within a healthcare team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and staff. Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and promote a positive work environment.
