Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including long-term care, assisted living, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as Alzheimer's or memory care. The CNA will play a vital role in supporting patient comfort, safety, and well-being while adhering to all healthcare standards and regulations. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation protocols. Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper medication handling following HIPAA guidelines. Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory impairments, including behavioral health management. Assist with catheter care, wound care, and aseptic techniques to prevent infections. Support patients in post-acute, sub-acute, inpatient, outpatient, or home care settings based on experience. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in emergency medicine, ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), pediatrics (PICU), or geriatrics environments. Maintain a safe environment by recognizing potential safety hazards and adhering to infection control protocols for infectious disease care. Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-discharge care plans. Ensure compliance with all medical records management and medical terminology standards. Requirements Valid Certified Nursing Assistant certification in accordance with state regulations. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (including trauma centers), nursing homes, hospice care, or outpatient clinics is preferred. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or similar platforms. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical-surgical procedures, and basic life support certification is required. Experience with specialized patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, or patients with disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and manage patient service tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills for working effectively with patients of all ages and healthcare team members. Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards necessary for maintaining patient confidentiality. Pay:
$16.50 - $18.50 per hour
