Role:
Quincy Medical Group is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Dialysis team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care and clinical support for individuals receiving dialysis treatment while working closely with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care. This position is ideal for a nurse who values relationship-based care, strong clinical assessment skills, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients managing chronic kidney disease. Dialysis nursing offers a unique opportunity to build ongoing patient relationships while supporting patients through complex medical needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
The RN - Dialysis provides direct nursing care to patients receiving dialysis treatments, including patient assessment, monitoring during treatment, medication administration, and patient education. You will evaluate patient conditions, recognize and respond to changes in status, and collaborate with providers to support individualized care plans. Responsibilities include initiating and discontinuing dialysis treatments, monitoring dialysis equipment and treatment parameters, documenting patient care accurately within the electronic medical record, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention and safety standards. This role also includes educating patients and families on treatment plans, medications, dietary considerations, and ongoing disease management. The RN works closely with dialysis technicians, providers, and other clinical team members to support efficient operations and ensure a safe, supportive environment for patients throughout their treatment experience.               Qualifications:
              • Active Illinois Registered Nurse license required
              • Current BLS/CPR certification required
              • Previous dialysis or nephrology experience preferred
              • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
              • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
              • Compassionate communication and patient education skills
