RN Infection Prevention Manager Full Time | Day Shift

What You'll Do:
As the RN Infection Prevention Manager , you will oversee clinical operations, infection prevention initiatives, and nursing team support within our skilled nursing community.
Responsibilities include:
Provide leadership, supervision, and evaluation of nursing care for the 36 long-term care beds within our 50-bed skilled nursing facility. Manage and actively participate in the resident admission and discharge process to ensure seamless transitions of care. Lead and oversee infection prevention and infection control programs for the entire 50-bed community, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Supervise, coach, and support licensed and non-licensed nursing staff under the direction of the Director of Nursing. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality, resident-centered care in a warm, family-like environment. Coordinate and facilitate clinical education and training programs for nursing staff based on regulatory requirements and organizational needs. Respond effectively in emergency situations to ensure the safety and well-being of residents, staff, and visitors. Maintain compliance with OBRA, state, federal, and infection prevention regulations related to long-term care.
RN Infection Prevention Manager Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin BSN preferred Current CPR certification Current CIC (Certification in Infection Control) certification Previous experience in geriatrics or long-term care Minimum of two years of supervisory experience Knowledge of OBRA, state, and federal regulations as applied to long-term care. Able to plan, direct, and supervise nursing care of the infirm aged. Ability to direct, instruct, and supervise licensed and other nursing personnel. Handle hostile or emotionally upset residents, staff, etc. Able to focus on fine details with constant interruption. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn and use other computer applications. Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
