SnapCare is seeking experienced Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurses (RNs) for a night-shift travel assignment in Ohio. The LTAC RN provides comprehensive nursing care to medically complex patients, utilizing the nursing process in compliance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role requires strong critical-thinking skills, leadership, and experience caring for high-acuity, telemetry-monitored patients.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and indirect nursing care utilizing the nursing process Deliver safe, evidence-based care to LTAC and telemetry patients Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor cardiac rhythms Manage ventilators, tracheostomies, and central lines Provide wound care as needed and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams Delegate and supervise patient care activities to assigned staff Communicate changes in patient condition to providers and nursing leadership Maintain accurate documentation per facility standards and EMR requirements
Qualifications:
Active Ohio RN license or multi-state compact RN license Minimum of 1-2 years of recent LTAC, ICU, Step-Down, or Telemetry RN experience Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and prioritization skills Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary care team Required Certifications (Must be current and attached at submission): BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA)
Required Experience:
Ventilator and tracheostomy care Central line management Wound care experience preferred
