RN Manager, Float Pool and Centralized Staffing (Nursing Operations) Summary RN Manager, Float Pool and Centralized Staffing (Nursing Operations) About the Role Lead Levindale Hospital's centralized staffing model, including Float Pool, Staffing Office, agency workforce, and patient transport. Day shift leadership role in a post-acute rehab and long-term care hospital backed by LifeBridge Health.
Responsibilities:
What You'll Own Build a Float Pool nurses actually want to join. Design the model, set the culture, and grow a flexible RN, LPN, and GNA team that reduces agency spend and strengthens care quality. Drive workforce strategy for the hospital. Use staffing data, productivity trends, and labor cost analysis to shape decisions at the executive level. Own daily staffing operations across rehab and long-term care, balancing coverage, acuity, and budget across all shifts, 24/7. Lead a team of staffing coordinators and float pool nurses with real authority over hiring, development, and performance. Hold the keys to agency partnerships, scheduling systems, and labor budget oversight, including patient transport coordination. Take command during staffing emergencies, deploying resources through the Manpower Command Center when minutes matter.
Qualifications:
What You'll Bring Active Maryland RN license (or eligible) Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred 5+ years RN experience, with 2+ years in staffing, scheduling, float pool, or nursing operations leadership Experience with workforce systems (Epic, Cerner, Kronos, or similar) Strong analytical and real-time decision-making skills
