Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that patient care standards are met and maintained across various settings. This position requires a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to quality patient care. The Quality Assurance Nurse will be responsible for reviewing medical documentation, conducting audits, and providing feedback to improve healthcare practices. Responsibilities Conduct regular audits of patient records to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Review medical documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring adherence to HIPAA guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare providers to identify areas for improvement in patient care processes. Provide training and support to nursing staff on best practices in pain management, ostomy care, and other critical areas. Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies to enhance quality of care. Participate in the development and implementation of quality assurance programs. Assist in the evaluation of new policies and procedures related to patient care. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations and industry standards. Requirements Current nursing license in good standing. Experience in pain management, ostomy care, or home community care is preferred. Familiarity with medical office operations, emergency room (ER) protocols, and laboratory procedures. Proficiency in venipuncture and IV infusion techniques is a plus. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals at all levels. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
