RN/LPN

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN or RN to join our healthcare team at the Somerset County Jail. 3 days- 2 12 hour days and 1 6 hour day totaling 30 hours per week. Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Perform patient assessments and document vital signs and medical histories accurately. Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment plans. Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Participate in urgent care situations, providing basic life support when necessary. Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of patient care practices and procedures. Familiarity with patient care processes and urgent care protocols. Solid understanding of human anatomy to assist in patient assessments. Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) effectively in emergency situations. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy is upheld. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
