DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager, the Roads and Grounds Worker performs a variety of manual labor tasks associated with the maintenance of roads, grounds, and drainage.

REPORTS TO

Operations Manager

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains and repairs roadways Sets up and picks up barricades, lane cones, and warning signs to channel traffic around work crews Rakes and tamps asphalt and spreads aggregate on street repair projects Operates jackhammers and pneumatic compacting equipment Operates a dump truck, asphalt paving truck and trailer, and asphalt roller Operates and maintains a crack seal kettle and emulsion spray wand Keeps drainage ditches beside roadways clear of debris Utilizes labor equipment such as shovels, posthole diggers, racks, etc. Mows grass in all parks, airpark, common areas, and other areas directed by management Maintains equipment in good working order Provides labor at the collection station Maintains equestrian area Responsible for the removal of dead animals from common areas Repairs facility building Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

No requirements but High School Diploma or GED preferred

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENT

Valid Texas DL Knowledge of the safe operation of commercial lawn mowers and weed eater operation Heavy equipment and road maintenance vehicle operations Roads & Grounds

I MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Less than 1-year experience in related fields
