Roll-Off Driver Job DescriptionPosition Summary American Dumpster Co. is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Roll-Off Driver to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the safe operation of roll-off and hooklift trucks while delivering, exchanging, and removing waste containers for residential, commercial, and construction customers. The ideal candidate is professional, punctual, customer-friendly, and capable of operating equipment safely in a fast-paced environment. Duties & Responsibilities Operate roll-off and hooklift trucks safely and efficiently Deliver, exchange, and remove dumpsters at customer locations Safely maneuver trucks in tight spaces, construction sites, residential areas, and various weather conditions Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Inspect trucks and equipment for safety or maintenance concerns and report issues promptly Secure all loads and ensure compliance with DOT safety regulations Operate hydraulic systems safely during loading and unloading Maintain clean and professional equipment appearance Follow assigned routes, schedules, and dispatch instructions Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members Complete required paperwork, driver logs, mileage tracking, and electronic documentation accurately Provide excellent customer service while representing American Dumpster Co. professionally Assist with other duties as assigned Requirements & Qualifications Valid CDL Class A or Class B license Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred Roll-off, hooklift, dump truck, or waste industry experience preferred Clean driving record with no major violations within the past 3 years Ability to safely operate manual transmission vehicles preferred Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, tarping, lifting, and bending Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work long hours when needed and adapt to changing schedules Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to climb in and out of trucks repeatedly throughout the day Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time Benefits (Optional Section) Competitive pay Overtime opportunities Paid holidays and vacation Home daily Family-oriented work environment Opportunities for growth and advancement Additional Information This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
