This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of specialized trucks, including roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and flatbeds, ensuring timely delivery and pickup across diverse routes. Responsibilities Safely operate roll-off trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, and other commercial vehicles to load, transport, and unload freight efficiently. Load and unload containers using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or crane systems, ensuring secure handling of all cargo. Drive route driving schedules with precision, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups. Inspect vehicles daily for mechanical issues or safety concerns; perform routine maintenance checks to keep trucks in optimal condition. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to confirm routes, delivery times, and any route adjustments needed throughout the day. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and vehicle inspections for compliance purposes. Assist with loading or unloading freight when necessary, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork in supporting overall operations. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating tractor-trailers or roll-off trucks. Proven experience driving heavy-duty trucks such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, or refrigerated trailers. Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles and operating specialized equipment like forklifts or tanker trucks is preferred. Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to truck driving, freight handling, and route management. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while following safety protocols; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with federal and state transportation laws.
