Roof Repair Technician

Job Overview Smith Builders is seeking an Experienced Roof Repair Technician with a "detective" mindset. Unlike new installations, this role focuses on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and fixing leaks and structural issues. You will be the face of our repair division, providing high-quality solutions for both residential and commercial clients.

Duties Leak Diagnosis:

Identify the source of leaks in asphalt shingle, standing seam metal, along with other roofing systems.

Precision Repairs:

Perform expert-level flashing repairs, chimney re-leading, and shingle replacement.

Storm Damage Response:

Provide emergency tarping and temporary dry-in services following Maine's heavy snow, rain and wind events.

Requirements Experience:

3+ years in roofing, with 2+ years specifically in repairs and maintenance .

Technical Knowledge:

Proven experience of flashing techniques (step, counter, and apron) and sealant applications.

Reliability:

Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation to our Glenburn shop.

Safety:

Pay:

$24.00 - $32.00 per hour
