Room Attendant

The Vault Hotel (a Braveworks company) seeks part-time Room Attendants to join their hotel team in Houghton, Michigan. Room Attendants play critical roles in hospitality. They create clean and orderly environments for our guests to feel welcome, safe, and comforted during their stay. The Vault Hotel offers luxury and fine details in every part of the hotel. You are a key player in upholding the hotel's brand!

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

• Clean guest rooms and guest areas including making beds; dusting; vacuuming; cleaning bathrooms; replacing supplies; cleaning windows, mirrors and patios.
• Familiarize yourself with safe and effective use of appropriate cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain a stocked, organized and clean cart of supplies.
• Report hazardous conditions, equipment and maintenance issues as needed.
• Document and secure lost and found items.
• Conserve energy by closing shades/drapes; turn down air conditioning/heat in unoccupied rooms.
• Engage in a professional, friendly manner with all guests and coworkers.
• Assist Front Desk Attendants, as needed, by delivering and picking up guest requests.
• Work collaboratively with team members and stay current on hotel happenings.

COMPENSATION.

Starting wage of $15.50 or more per hour (based on your experience) plus tips. PERKS. Team members enjoy substantially discounted room rates throughout each year.

SCHEDULE.

Part-time positions available for this 9am-3pm shift. Flexibility required, including availability on weekends and holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS.

• Must be available for full shift (9am-3pm).
• Preference given to candidates with prior experience in housekeeping, sanitation, laundry operations and/or guest services.
• Someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service at all times and understands that we're leaders in our industry and in our community---integrity is essential.
• Flexibility in your schedule (weekdays, weekends, holidays) customary with the hotel industry.
• Someone motivated to use safe work practices.
• Position requires an ability to lift up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 100 pounds, bend, stretch and twist, stand for long periods of time, and work with cleaning chemicals as needed.
