Safety coordinator (Operations & Faculties)

The Safety Coordinator (Operations & Facilities) supports daily safety efforts across warehouse, shop, and yard operations. This role focuses on maintaining PPE supplies, assisting with safety inspections, supporting training, and helping ensure compliance with company safety standards. This position is ideal for someone with at least one year of safety or industrial experience looking to grow in the field. Key Responsibilities1. PPE & Safety Supply Support Assist with maintaining adequate stock of PPE and first aid supplies across all facilities Help monitor and restock safety items such as gloves, vests, eyewash stations, and first aid kits Ensure safety signage is posted and in good condition 2. Facility Walkthroughs & Inspections Conduct routine safety walkthroughs with guidance from the Safety team Identify basic safety concerns (housekeeping, PPE compliance, hazards) and report findings Assist with documenting inspections and tracking follow-up items 3. Workplace & Driver Safety Support Perform basic safety observations for warehouse employees and drivers Assist with monitoring PPE usage and safe work practices in the shop and yard Report unsafe conditions or behaviors to management 4. Training Assistance Support onboarding safety training for new hires Assist with scheduling and tracking required safety training Help reinforce safety practices through day-to-day coaching 5. Incident Reporting Support Assist with gathering initial information for workplace incidents Help complete basic incident reports and documentation Support follow-up on corrective actions Qualifications & Skills At least 1 year of safety, warehouse, or industrial experience Basic understanding of workplace safety practices (OSHA knowledge is a plus) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes Good communication skills and ability to work with different teams Comfortable working in warehouse, shop, and outdoor environments Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience in warehouse or logistics operations Familiarity with forklifts or general industrial equipment Physical Requirements Ability to walk facilities for extended periods Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs as needed Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions Key Responsibilities1. Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
