Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. The Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs to ensure the well-being of our employees and compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, with proven leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members at all levels.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Provide safety training and education to employees at all levels, including new hire orientation and ongoing training sessions. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training sessions, and compliance activities. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to address safety concerns and develop solutions. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in occupational health and safety.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred). Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification (preferred). Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in the drywall industry.OSHA 30 & OSHA 510
preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage employees at all levels. Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire a culture of safety and accountability.
