Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, developing safety training programs, and fostering a culture of safety within the organization. This role is pivotal in minimizing workplace hazards and promoting the health and well-being of all employees. Duties Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA regulations and company standards. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental regulations (EPA) and occupational health standards. Provide training and development programs on safety practices, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures for all employees. Manage workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations while facilitating return-to-work programs. Perform root cause analysis for incidents to identify underlying issues and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics, incidents, and compliance audits for management review. Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety awareness through effective communication and engagement strategies. Stay updated on industry trends, changes in legislation related to EHS (Environmental Health & Safety), and best practices in occupational health. Qualifications Proven experience in a safety management role within the manufacturing sector or similar industries. Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, workers' compensation law, environmental regulations (EPA), and occupational health principles. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly. Certification in First Aid, CPR, or similar emergency response training is preferred. Experience in training & development related to safety practices is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with experience in conducting root cause analysis for workplace incidents. Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining a strong focus on safety initiatives. General knowledge of industrial construction and construction safety, knowledge of OSHA laws and procedures.
Experience Requirements:
Must be a qualified CTS Instructor; Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or Engineering preferred.

Write, maintain and update the written company safety program; develop and implement changes or new programs to ensure compliance. develop and maintain positive relationships with client counterparts; maintain a relationship with personnel and to assist them in becoming successful in their job performance; enable employees to work safely through training and mentoring and coach them in professional growth.
