Job Description

Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer to champion safety and health standards across construction sites. In this vital role, you will oversee compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, manage risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety among all team members. Your expertise will help ensure that construction projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead safety initiatives that protect workers and contribute to successful project outcomes. Responsibilities Conduct thorough safety inspections on construction sites to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Develop, review, and enforce safety policies aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and other relevant regulations. Manage risk assessments related to construction activities, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place for high-risk operations. Oversee compliance management processes, including documentation of safety procedures and incident reports. Coordinate safety training sessions for workers and management, emphasizing OSHA requirements, Workers' Compensation protocols, and EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) best practices. Monitor adherence to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards during electrical installations and other technical operations. Utilize construction management software to track safety metrics, incident reports, and compliance status across multiple sites. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements. Knowledge of risk management principles, occupational health standards, and Workers' Compensation procedures. Familiarity with NEC standards, construction management practices, and EHS protocols. Hands-on experience with construction site operations and construction management software tools. Excellent communication skills to effectively train teams and report on safety performance. Ability to perform detailed risk assessments and develop comprehensive safety plans tailored to complex projects. Construction site experience is essential; prior roles should demonstrate active involvement in maintaining safe work environments. Pay:
$24.59 - $29.62 per hour
