In this role, you'll lead high-visibility investigations into regulatory compliance matters, uncover systemic root causes, and help implement corrective actions that strengthen one of the world's safest transportation systems. Your expertise will support product safety across the full aircraft lifecycle while collaborating with engineering leaders, compliance professionals, and executive stakeholders. What You'll Do As a Safety & Regulatory Specialist, you will serve as a key investigator and facilitator for complex compliance matters.
Responsibilities include:
Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations involving FAA Letters of Investigation, voluntary disclosures, self-audit findings, and airworthiness non-compliances Guide cross-functional engineering teams through structured problem-solving processes to identify root causes and corrective actions Coordinate with leadership, suppliers, and technical experts to align on investigation progress, risk mitigation, and resolution plans Develop containment actions and long-term preventive measures to eliminate recurrence of compliance issues Partner with Organizational Designation Authorization (ODA) teams to ensure investigation outcomes meet regulatory expectations Support continuous improvement of internal safety, compliance, and investigation tools and processes Communicate complex technical findings clearly to diverse audiences, including executives and engineering teams Contribute to a culture where safety, accountability, and innovation remain top priorities What You Bring Required Qualifications 6+ years of related professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree or advanced education, or comparable experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to lead initiatives and collaborate across diverse teams Proven ability to manage priorities, drive results, and meet deadlines Must meet U.S. Person status requirements under Export Control regulations Preferred Qualifications Experience with RCCA tools such as 5-Whys, Fishbone, or structured problem-solving methodologies Knowledge of aircraft certification, safety requirements, and compliance procedures Experience working with FAA or other regulatory agencies Familiarity with FAA Regulatory Compliance and ODA procedures Background in commercial aircraft systems design, analysis, or systems integration Pilot's license or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License Experience in aviation engineering environments such as avionics, hydraulics, fuels, or flight controls Why Join Us At PDS Tech Commercial, we connect exceptional talent with impactful opportunities that shape industries and advance innovation. Pay Details:
$50.81 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
