ESSENTIAL JOB FUCTIONS

Patrolling Checks students for proper hall passes Escorts students to the office for inappropriate behavior Supervision of students outside of the classroom Conducts periodic checks of grounds and buildings and performs surveillance activities as directed Notifies office personnel of problems with vehicles (i.e., improperly parked, light on, etc) Student Management Monitors student behavior and enforces school rules related to student conduct, vehicle operation, and parking Resolves conflict or confrontations between students and reports disturbances to principal or designee Assists school Administration in matters of safety and security as requested Controls traffic and parking on campus grounds Others Assists law enforcement personnel as needed, on matters of crime and delinquency Notifies police, fire department, or other appropriate authority of any situation requiring immediate attention Assists visitors, giving directions and needed information Provides security at extra-curricular activities Attends training sessions and performs other needed duties, as assigned Performs any other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Safety and Security

EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of one year job related experience Must have, or the ability to obtain a valid St. Louis County Security Officer's license You must be able to pass a drug screening to be considered for this role
