Job Description
Greystone, Inc. is a leader in specialized plating solutions for the automotive and industrial sectors, with a strong reputation for technical expertise and customer-focused innovation. As part of the Greystone of Rhode Island-Induplate division, the Sales Engineer (Market Manager) will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. This position offers the chance to work closely with engineering and executive leadership, contributing to strategic planning and product development in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities by prospecting potential customers in target markets. Manage and grow existing accounts, primarily within the automotive and industrial sectors. Assess market trends and product niches to define and pursue profitable growth opportunities. Engage directly with customer teams, including Design, Engineering, Purchasing, and Executives, to understand needs and present solutions. Collaborate with Greystone engineering and operations teams to develop cost estimates and prepare pricing proposals for new business. Participate in strategic planning sessions with executive management to shape product and market strategies. Represent Greystone at trade shows, including setting up and exhibiting products and services. Travel up to 30% within North America, with occasional international travel to Asia and Europe as needed. Qualifications Bachelors degree, preferably in engineering, science, or a technical discipline. Minimum of 2 years of sales experience, with strong prospecting and business development skills. Experience in business-to-business sales is preferred. Demonstrated ability to negotiate deals from initiation to close. Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and MS Project. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Experience with sales budgeting and cost analysis. Desire to solve problems and work closely with customers and internal teams. Experience selling new products or services is a plus. Industry contacts within the plating/finishing market are desirable. Experience working with Automotive OEMs and Tier I suppliers is preferred. Background in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering and/or manufacturing experience is advantageous. Solid understanding of business financial fundamentals. Compensation Competitive base salary with performance-based commission. Company cell phone and laptop computer provided.
