Sales Representative - Industrial Gases & Welding Supply Are you competitive, driven, and energized by winning new business? At California Tool and Welding Supply, we are looking for a high-energy Sales Representative who is motivated to grow accounts, aggressively pursue new opportunities, and consistently exceed sales goals in a fast-paced and competitive industry. California Tool and Welding Supply is a family-owned and operated company with more than 50 years of experience serving customers throughout Southern California and Nevada. We have built a strong reputation for service and industry expertise. Our company specializes in industrial and liquefied gases, specialty gases, welding equipment and supplies, bulk gas solutions, and related services. We are seeking an ambitious and customer-focused professional who is assertive, proactive, and comfortable with cold calling, relationship building, and territory development. Objectives
- Consistently generate new business opportunities through proactive cold calling, in-person visits, networking, and lead follow-up to achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales quotas.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service, responding quickly to customer needs, and becoming a trusted resource for industrial gas and welding solutions.
- Drive territory growth by identifying customer challenges, recommending value-added solutions, and expanding sales across gases, welding products, equipment, and related services.
- Prospect and develop new customers through cold calling, field visits, referrals, networking, and relationship building.
- Maintain an organized sales pipeline and consistently follow up on leads and opportunities.
- Increase territory sales through solution-based selling of industrial gases, specialty gases, welding supplies, equipment, and repair services.
- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships to support repeat business and account retention.
- Meet or exceed sales goals, performance expectations, and activity targets established by management.
- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service agreements within company guidelines.
- Collaborate with branch operations, customer service, and management teams to ensure excellent customer support and timely issue resolution.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries regarding orders, deliveries, billing, cylinder balances, and service concerns.
- Review and manage customer accounts receivable to minimize financial risk and maintain healthy customer accounts.
- Maintain accurate sales records, customer notes, call reports, and related documentation in a timely manner.
- Represent the company professionally while maintaining a positive attitude with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
- Perform additional duties assigned by sales or executive management. Qualifications
- 1+ years of sales experience in industrial gases, welding supply, industrial distribution, manufacturing, construction, or related industries preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively prospect, cold call, and close new business opportunities.
- Strong drive to meet and exceed sales quotas and performance goals.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly motivated, driven, energetic, competitive, and self-disciplined.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:
