Job Description

Position Summary The Sales Representative is responsible for developing and maintaining referral relationships that generate home infusion therapy referrals throughout the assigned territory. This position serves as the primary liaison between Vital Care and referral sources, including physicians, hospitals, case managers, discharge planners, specialty clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and other healthcare providers. The Sales Representative promotes Vital Care's infusion services, identifies new business opportunities, strengthens existing partnerships, and works collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to ensure exceptional patient care and customer satisfaction. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, healthcare industry knowledge, strategic territory management, and the ability to achieve business growth objectives while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and company regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and execute territory growth plans to increase referrals and market share. Identify, target, and cultivate new referral sources within the assigned service area. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with physicians, hospital systems, clinics, case managers, discharge planners, and other healthcare partners. Conduct routine sales calls, presentations, educational programs, and networking activities. Qualify referral opportunities and evaluate the potential volume and profitability of prospective accounts. Maintain accurate and current customer account information within the company's CRM system. Track and report sales activities, referral trends, and territory performance metrics. Collaborate with pharmacists, nurses, and clinical staff to support "clinician-to-clinician" relationship development. Educate referral partners regarding Vital Care's infusion therapies, services, equipment, and patient support programs. Monitor competitor activity and market trends and provide recommendations to maintain a competitive position. Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, professional meetings, and educational programs. Assist leadership in identifying and developing new market opportunities. Maintain regular communication with branch leadership and operations teams regarding sales activities and referral opportunities. Ensure all sales and marketing activities are conducted in compliance with healthcare regulations, company policies, and ethical business practices. Represent Vital Care professionally and maintain the organization's reputation within the healthcare community. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM software. Ability to work independently while managing a territory effectively. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with referral sources and healthcare professionals. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Previous healthcare sales experience. Home infusion, specialty pharmacy, medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare marketing experience. Knowledge of referral development and healthcare reimbursement processes. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills. Understanding of home infusion therapies and patient care services. Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to analyze market opportunities and develop strategic growth plans. Strong problem-solving and customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all business interactions. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Frequent local travel throughout the assigned territory. Prolonged periods of driving to customer and referral-source locations. Ability to lift and carry marketing materials and presentation equipment up to 20 pounds. Frequent use of computers, tablets, and mobile devices. Ability to stand for extended periods during meetings, presentations, conferences, and trade events.
