- 200K+Hybrid/Field SalesPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Executive to drive revenue growth in our commercial flooring division.
The ideal candidate will combine deep product knowledge across broadloom and modular soft-surface options, resilient finishes and hard-surface products with proven sales leadership. This role focuses on winning new business, managing key client relationships, and delivering turnkey projects through close coordination with estimating and installation teams to meet performance and profitability targets.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue and margin targets for commercial flooring projects.
Identify, qualify and close new business opportunities across office, education, healthcare, retail and hospitality sectors.
Serve as the primary client contact for specification, product selection and value engineering, leveraging expertise in broadloom, carpet tile, resilient products (LVT/LVP), static flooring, raised access flooring, ceramic and porcelain.
Lead proposal development and pricing negotiations, prepare compelling bids and presentations, and manage contract execution.
Coordinate with project management, estimating and installation teams to ensure seamless turnkey installation delivery, on-time completion and compliance with project specifications.
Manage projects from initial inquiry through handover, tracking milestones, anticipating risks and resolving issues to maintain client satisfaction.
Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, designers, general contractors, facility managers and distributors; actively pursue specification opportunities.
Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management and CRM data; report sales activities and market feedback to leadership.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and client meetings; stay current on product innovations, codes and sustainability trends.
Mentor and support junior sales staff as needed, contributing to continuous improvement of sales processes and product positioning.
QualificationsMinimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in commercial flooring or a closely related building materials sector; proven track record of winning medium to large commercial projects.
Deep technical knowledge of commercial flooring products and systems including broadloom, carpet tile, soft surface, resilient flooring, LVT/LVP, static flooring, raised access flooring, ceramic and porcelain.
Experience with turnkey installation projects and project management practices, including coordination with estimating and installation teams.
Strong commercial acumen with experience preparing proposals, pricing strategies and negotiating contracts.
Established relationships with architects, designers, contractors and facility managers preferred.
Excellent communication, presentation and consultative selling skills; able to translate technical details into client value.
Proficient with CRM systems, Microsoft Office suite and common project collaboration tools.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and possess a valid drivers license; occasional overnight travel may be required.
Bachelors degree in Business, Construction Management, Interior Design or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
