What you'll do: Own and grow an assigned $15M+ book of business, delivering consistent revenue, margin, and wallet share growth. Develop and execute advanced, multi-year account strategies for strategic and enterprise-level customers. Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers, owners, and senior leaders at customer organizations. Conduct high-impact customer visits, job-site meetings, and executive business reviews. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex customer issues and strategic initiatives. Partner closely with branch leadership, operations, inside sales, supply chain, and vendor partners to deliver differentiated, high-value solutions. Collaborate with hunter-style Outside Sales Representatives to support the transition of newly acquired strategic accounts. Participate in joint customer meetings and onboarding for high-profile or complex account transitions. Identify selective, high-value growth opportunities through referrals, white-space analysis, and market intelligence. Align customers with manufacturer partners, national programs, and vendor resources to support large projects and long-term growth. Negotiate pricing, programs, and terms within established guidelines, exercising advanced commercial judgment. Maintain best-in-class CRM discipline, forecasting accuracy, and account documentation. Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to anticipate risks and opportunities. Act as a mentor, role model, and informal leader for Account Executives across levels, sharing best practices and market insights. Contribute to sales strategy development, playbooks, and training initiatives. Travel regularly within the assigned territory to support customer relationships. What you'll bring: 15+ years of experience in outside sales, account management, or related customer-facing roles. Proven ability to manage and grow a $15M+ book of business with strong profitability. Extensive experience in building materials, construction, or wholesale distribution strongly preferred. Demonstrated success managing complex, enterprise-level customer relationships. Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills. Strong executive presence and credibility with senior customers and internal leadership. Ability to operate independently while influencing outcomes across multiple functions. Advanced communication, organizational, and prioritization skills. High proficiency with CRM systems, analytics, and digital sales tools. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus. Salary Range:
USD $81,000.00 - USD $135,000.00 /Yr.
