Job Description

This individual will cultivate client-direct relationships across top brands on a local, regional, and national level with a focus on maximizing partnership revenue for the athletic department while delivering measurable value for corporate partners through traditional media, digital and social platforms, in-venue signage, experiential activations, and non-traditional marketing assets.
Salary Range:
$70,000–$85,000 annually. Creighton University offers a comprehensive benefits package including tuition remission, retirement contributions, and generous paid time off. Key Responsibilities:
Lead all facets of the partnership sales cycle including prospecting, researching/qualifying leads, securing face-to-face appointments, ideating integrated sponsorship solutions tailored to prospect business goals, proposal development, presenting final proposals, negotiation, and contract generation. Work cross-functionally with athletic department leadership, coaching staffs, game operations, and university marketing to create comprehensive sponsorship proposals while ensuring a high level of internal communication. Employ the latest prospecting tools, research data, and market knowledge to develop effective, brand-centric sales positioning across the collegiate sports landscape. Understand prospective partner brands and their competitors to develop solution-based platforms that amplify partners’ brands and achieve their marketing objectives through broadcast, digital, social, in-venue, and experiential assets. Build, maintain, and grow Creighton Athletics’ portfolio of corporate partnerships, anticipating and resolving any issues that arise while driving long-term client retention and revenue growth. Ensure partners generate maximum value from their partnership investment and communicate that value through regular reporting and strategic account reviews. Responsible for generating incremental revenue and growth opportunities with all accounts. Meet and/or exceed sales expectations of new business revenue.
Effective management of current staff:
(1) graduate assistant. Ability to potentially manage additional staff (i.e., account executive).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College/University. 5–7+ years in sales, marketing, account management, and/or brand management. Experience in collegiate sports sponsorship sales, multimedia rights, or sports property management is strongly preferred. Demonstrated track record of building pipeline, managing a book of business, and meeting or exceeding revenue targets. Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills with the ability to engage marketing decision-makers and C-suite executives. Master’s degree in sport management, business administration, or a related field is a plus.
