Non-Exempt - Position Summary The Home Health Account Executive is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining referral relationships within the agency's service area to support strategic census growth. This position serves as the primary liaison between Welcome Back Home Care, Inc. and referral sources including hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and community partners. The Account Executive promotes agency services in accordance with Medicare Conditions of Participation, state regulations, and agency policies while ensuring ethical marketing practices and accurate representation of services. - Essential Duties & Responsibilities Business Development & Community Outreach Develops and implements a territory management plan to increase qualified referrals and agency census. Maintains consistent contact with referral sources through scheduled in-person visits, phone calls, and electronic communication. Educates referral partners on agency services, admission criteria, payer sources, and regulatory requirements. Identifies new referral opportunities and establishes professional relationships within the community. Represents the agency at community events, health fairs, networking meetings, and professional associations. Maintains accurate referral source logs and daily activity tracking reports. Meets or exceeds monthly referral and growth targets as established by leadership. Referral Management & Coordination Receives and processes referrals in collaboration with Intake and Clinical Leadership. Ensures referrals meet Medicare eligibility, homebound status, and medical necessity requirements prior to admission. Communicates promptly with referral sources regarding admission status and barriers to care. Coordinates with clinical staff to ensure smooth transitions from hospital or facility to home. Follows up with referral sources after admission to ensure satisfaction and continuity of care. Documentation & Compliance Maintains accurate documentation of marketing activities, referral trends, and territory performance. Ensures all marketing practices comply with federal and state regulations, including Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law guidelines. Adheres to agency policies regarding confidentiality, HIPAA, and professional conduct. Participates in agency meetings, growth strategy sessions, and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI/QAPI) initiatives. Professional Standards Communicates effectively and professionally with staff, patients, families, and referral partners. Maintains a positive and professional image representing Welcome Back Home Care values and mission. Demonstrates accountability, integrity, and ethical decision-making in all marketing practices. Participates in required in-services, compliance training, and staff development activities. - Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of two (2) years of healthcare marketing, home health, or related sales experience preferred. Knowledge of Medicare home health eligibility and payer sources strongly preferred. - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Oklahoma home health regulations. Ability to analyze referral trends and develop strategic growth plans. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic health records, and CRM systems. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating with interdisciplinary leadership. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. - Physical Requirements Ability to work full-time (minimum 40 hours per week). Ability to travel within the agency's service area daily. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift marketing materials as needed. Ability to drive to referral sources, hospitals, and community locations. Adequate vision and dexterity to perform documentation and computer-based tasks. - Compliance Statement All employees are expected to comply with Welcome Back Home Care, Inc. policies, state and federal regulations, HIPAA requirements, and ethical standards. Participation in the agency's compliance and quality improvement programs is required as a condition of employment. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
