Full Job Description Senior Sales Executive Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Senior Sales Executive to join our dynamic freight brokerage team on-site in Rochester, NY. The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients, building strong relationships, and promoting our freight brokerage services. This role requires a strong understanding of transportation and logistics, excellent communication skills, and a passion for sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities within the transportation and logistics industry. Identify shippers and establish relationships to secure freight opportunities. Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research. Present freight solutions and pricing to potential clients, effectively demonstrating value and ROI. Negotiate rates and terms with shippers in line with company goals and market conditions. Collaborate with carrier sales and operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and execution of customer freight. Maintain accurate records of sales activity, account information, and customer communications in the CRM system. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, and market conditions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong sales and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry, particularly freight brokerage. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficient with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Self-motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused. Prior experience in logistics or freight sales is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Existing book of business in freight brokerage or logistics sales. Experience with TMS (Transportation Management System) platforms.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
