Job Description

About KLH:
KLH Industries is a precision machining company built around technology, automation, and quality. Our specialty is medium-to-high complexity parts at low-to-medium volumes (50-5,000 EAU). With multiple automated multi-axis CNC machines, we engineer repeatable results for the aerospace, defense, and firearms sectors. We earn repeat business by knowing the smartest way to make complex parts and backing it up with consistent quality.
What You'll Do:
As a Sales Account Executive, you'll manage opportunities from initial prospecting through quote follow-up, order receipt, and long-term account growth. Unlike many sales roles, success in precision machining requires close collaboration with technical teams throughout the sales process. Opportunities often require input from estimators, engineers, quality personnel, and manufacturing leaders before a quote can be submitted. Strong organization, communication, and follow-through are critical to ensuring customer requests move efficiently through the business. You'll be responsible for bringing opportunities into the company, helping prioritize them appropriately, and keeping customers informed throughout the quoting process. You'll also serve as a key point of contact when production challenges arise, balancing customer expectations with operational realities while maintaining trust and long-term relationships. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, coordinating across multiple departments, and building lasting customer partnerships rather than selling from a product catalog.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate new opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and customer outreach. Coordinate with estimators, engineers, and operations to develop accurate manufacturing solutions and quotations. Manage opportunities from RFQ through quote follow-up, order receipt, and production launch. Build long-term customer relationships through regular communication and responsive service. Support customers through production challenges while balancing customer expectations with operational realities.
What We're Looking For:
3+ years of business-to-business manufacturing sales, account management, estimating, project management, customer service, or related experience. Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally (less than 20%). Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills. Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously. Experience using CRM and ERP systems. Comfortable learning technical manufacturing processes and terminology. Ability to qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR regulations. Nice to
Have:
Experience in precision machining, specifically in aerospace or defense markets. Experience reading engineering drawings or discussing technical requirements. Experience working with engineers, buyers, and supply chain professionals. Why Join Us? Work directly with engineers, estimators, quality professionals, and manufacturing leaders to solve complex customer challenges. Represent a company that invests heavily in technology, automation, and continuous improvement. Build long-term customer relationships instead of chasing transactional sales. See your work move from initial RFQ to production on the shop floor. Join a stable, growing organization serving the aerospace, defense, and firearms industries.
