This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of some of Tandem Travel's most important commercial partnerships. As a Senior Account Manager, you'll drive growth, strengthen customer relationships, and unlock new opportunities that help connect people, businesses and communities across Aotearoa and beyond.
In this role, you'll also provide key support to the National Sales Manager, acting as a senior member of the team and helping to lift capability, improve ways of working, and contribute to project-related initiatives that maximise revenue, commercial outcomes and team effectiveness. You'll bring a proactive, solutions-focused approach, identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen team performance and enable better commercial decision-making across the business.

Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts to achieve revenue, spanet share and profitability targets
Retain and grow existing business within the assigned portfolio, while identifying opportunities for increased revenue and stronger commercial outcomes
Build trusted relationships across customer organisations, from operational contacts through to senior decision-makers
Develop and execute strategic account plans that secure long-term partnerships and commercial growth
Identify and win new business opportunities to strengthen Tandem Travel's spanet position
Analyse account performance, sales data and spanet trends to uncover opportunities and drive corrective action where needed
Deliver exceptional customer service while proactively identifying ways to increase revenue and improve business outcomes
Lead customer training initiatives and joint business planning activities to maximise engagement and commercial success
Use relevant systems and reporting tools to review performance, identify opportunities and maintain accurate sales data
Act as a senior member of the sales team, providing guidance, coaching and practical support to help lift team capability and performance
Contribute to project-related work focused on improving team efficiencies, strengthening commercial outcomes and enabling better ways of working
Partner with leaders and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, revenue growth and enhanced team effectiveness
Contribute to a high-performing team culture by role-modelling collaboration, accountability and a continuous improvement mindset.
What we're looking for
Significant sales experience within a complex commercial environment
Proven success delivering strong sales results and achieving ambitious revenue targets
Strong commercial acumen and business development expertise
Ability to build and maintain influential relationships with a broad range of stakeholders
Experience developing and implementing strategic account and business plans
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
Strong results orientation, with a track record of achieving superior sales outcomes
Strong coaching, mentoring, negotiation and relationship management skills
Experience supporting or leading initiatives that improve team performance, operational efficiency or commercial outcomes
A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to coach, influence and support others across the team
A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and help turn ideas into practical outcomes
A relevant university qualification and/or equivalent industry experience.
