Symrise - always inspiring more… About the Role Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic Account Manager interested in growing existing account relationships as well as developing new business opportunities to support Symrise growth objectives. The Account Manager works with all Symrise Business Units and contributes to the development of mid-term organization goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, new customers, and negotiates and closes deals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Defined customer base - Ensures appropriate account strategies are developed, planned and articulated within the business. Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the customers' decision-making process, business strategies and brand focus; drives growth by via thoughtful understanding of customer potential and leveraging the capabilities of Symrise. In conjunction with the Business Units and Sales Director, identify and nurture accounts for business development. Plan customer meetings and demos that will convince potential clients to do business with Symrise. Reviews and coordinates all briefs and is responsible to prioritize and drive project management, ensuring work streams, such as sensory and design, are co-coordinated effectively against clear timelines, milestones and budgets with clear business owners. Maintain a high degree of direct call frequency in order to build multi-level relationships and strong customer intimacy. Build internal support to the overall objectives of the major customers and negotiate/motivate/enroll internal Symrise personnel behind these strategies. Responsible for the timely completion of all required reports, including but not limited to expense reports, quarterly reports, customer visit reports, budgets, monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts, etc.
About You Required Qualifications:
BS degree in Chemistry, Food Science or related field or BA in business. Associate degree is acceptable with 5+ years of experience. 3+ years experience in sales or business development, or technical / business support within the food and beverage industry. Computer literate with strong presentation and negotiation skills. Entrepreneurial drive, tenacity, and personal energy. Strategic ability with commercial and business acumen. Consumer, market and marketing understanding and awareness. Good judgment and decision making. Planning, coordinating and organizing. Good verbal and written communication skills and is able to build rapport with a wide range of people. Consumer, market, and marketing understanding and awareness. Pay Transparency Disclosure:
The expected annual salary range for this position is USD $110000.00 - USD $125000.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance.
