This role is specifically designed for a Contract Manufacturing Key Account Manager (KAM) who will drive strategic business development within the Contract Manufacturing and OEM ecosystem. The position requires an individual who thrives in a high-impact, growth-focused sales environment, capable of creating new opportunities and developing relationships with key stakeholders. The primary focus is on generating and capturing new business opportunities rather than maintaining existing accounts. Responsibilities Identify and develop new business opportunities within Contract Manufacturers (CMs), Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) providers, OEMs, and related manufacturing organizations. Build strategic relationships with decision-makers and influencers throughout the product development and sourcing process. Engage customers early in the buying cycle to identify opportunities before formal RFQs are issued. Drive opportunity development from initial customer engagement through quoting, negotiation, and successful business award. Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, estimating, supply chain, and program management to support customer requirements. Navigate complex manufacturing organizations and multi-stakeholder decision-making processes. Develop and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities. Track market trends, customer programs, and industry developments to uncover future business opportunities. Partner with internal resources to ensure efficient execution and customer satisfaction while maintaining ownership of the commercial opportunity. Support successful transitions of awarded business to operational and account management teams after launch. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven success in new business development within a B2B manufacturing environment. Experience selling custom, engineered, technical, industrial, packaging, automation, logistics, or value-added solutions. Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, develop, and close complex opportunities. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial supply chains. Experience navigating cross-functional customer organizations including engineering, procurement, operations, supply chain, and executive leadership. Excellent relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales territory. Willingness to travel throughout the region as needed. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience working for or selling into Contract Manufacturers (CMs), EMS providers, or OEMs. Experience in electronics manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, packaging, automation, robotics, material handling, logistics, or related industries. Familiarity with New Product Introduction (NPI) environments. Existing relationships within the Contract Manufacturing ecosystem. Experience managing opportunities that span multiple facilities, regions, or countries. Required Work Hours Monday - Friday, during the 1st shift.
