Position Summary:
The National Sales Account Manager is a full-time position working from the NHRA corporate headquarters in San Dimas, CA. The position is a non-supervisory, all-inclusive sales role, responsible for selling all advertising elements and sponsorship packages controlled by the NHRA. This position will focus on the development of non-traditional clients as well as the renewal of current NHRA sponsors. The position involves a flexible schedule and travel to various races and events nationwide to coincide with the NHRA season schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for selling all NHRA controlled advertising elements. Elements include, but are not limited to television, title and presenting race sponsorships, Jumbotron commercial and features, track signage, print, on-site promotions, tickets, suites, digital social media, PA announcements, track title rights, marketing and youth programs, display and exhibit space, official products, local, regional and national retail promotions, contingency programs, activation, track presence packages, licensing, and hospitality. Able to successfully perform and manage the full cycle sales process, from introduction through proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution. Service all account and contract needs in conjunction with sales and sponsorship team. Assist with the collection of sponsorship fees owed by each respective account. Assist with proposals and production of various sales materials and presentations.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with preference in business, marketing, sports management, or related field of study. A minimum of 3 years' major account sales experience, preferable experience selling sponsorships in a sports and entertainment environment. Proficiency in computer use and software applications such as Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to quickly adapt to specific sales software programs and use. A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes ownership from day one. An exceptional communicator and relationship-builder, capable of building and maintaining trust with internal clients and external stakeholders. Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales and revenue goals. Exceptionally organized and able to prioritize competing demands while meeting tight deadlines with accuracy and composure; able to manage multiple accounts simultaneously. Skilled at building consensus across departments, thinking creatively, and partnering with leadership to achieve business goals. Approachable and confident, with the presence to engage directly with all levels of the organization and key partners. Must be able to exhibit a positive attitude and willingness to play a part in the larger team goal of continuing NHRA's growth and modernization. Flexible schedule; able to work evenings and weekends as required with nationwide travel schedule.
