This role serves as a trusted advisor to customers, aligning transportation and warehousing solutions with their long-term business objectives. The Key Account Manager drives account growth, ensures service excellence, and plays a critical role in retaining and strengthening key partnerships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Own and manage relationships with top-tier accounts, acting as the senior point of contact and escalation lead.
- Develop deep understanding of each client's supply chain strategy, business goals, and operational challenges.
- Build and execute strategic account plans focused on retention, growth, and long-term partnership development.
- Lead executive-level engagement with client and internal stakeholders.
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand services across transportation and warehousing.
- Partner closely with internal leadership, operations, and solutions teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
- Monitor and analyze account performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Anticipate risks, resolve complex issues, and ensure client satisfaction at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 7-12+ years of experience in key account management within transportation, logistics, or warehousing.
- Proven track record of managing large, complex accounts and delivering sustained revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations and logistics solutions.
- Experience engaging with senior and executive-level client stakeholders.
- Advanced negotiation, communication, and strategic planning skills.
- Strong business acumen with a consultative, solutions-oriented approach.
- High level of accountability, ownership, and decision-making capability.
