Full Job Description Client Relationship Consultant Team:
Client Growth & Retention (Client Services / Revenue Team)
Location:
U.S.-based with approximately 40-60% travel
Compensation:
$90,000-$120,000 base + performance-based bonus/commission structure Why this role exists Our client is a category leader in retail and SMB deposit growth strategy, partnering with hundreds of financial institutions to drive measurable deposit growth and recurring fee income. Their model combines proprietary analytics, dynamic pricing, and performance-driven solutions to help banks and credit unions improve growth, retention, and customer engagement outcomes. The Client Relationship Consultant (CRC) plays a critical role in expanding and retaining client relationships while serving as a strategic advisor to financial institution partners. This role sits at the intersection of relationship management, consultative sales, and data-driven growth strategy. The CRC owns a portfolio of existing clients with direct accountability for retention, expansion revenue, product adoption, and overall account health. This is a quota-carrying role with measurable expectations tied to revenue growth and client outcomes. The shape of the person Our client is looking for someone who is equally comfortable building executive relationships and driving measurable business outcomes. This person understands how to balance trusted advisory work with commercial accountability. They can walk into a client meeting, interpret performance data, identify growth opportunities, and translate insights into actionable recommendations that create value for both the client and the business. They thrive in high-touch, client-facing environments and are energized by ownership, accountability, and relationship-driven growth. What you'll do Account Management & Growth Own a portfolio of existing financial institution clients with responsibility for retention, expansion revenue, and account health Identify and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities to increase client value and product adoption Execute against individual growth and revenue targets Client Engagement & Advisory Build strong relationships with banking and operational stakeholders Lead presentations, training sessions, strategy reviews, and performance discussions Serve as a trusted advisor focused on growth and long-term client success Data-Driven Strategy Analyze client performance data and deliver actionable recommendations tied to deposit growth and ROI Use internal tools and analytics to demonstrate business impact and opportunity areas Onsite Relationship Management Travel regularly to client locations to maintain strong engagement and partnership Conduct business reviews and ongoing performance check-ins Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with internal product, analytics, and delivery teams to ensure successful outcomes Escalate and resolve issues proactively to support retention and client satisfaction Pipeline & Forecasting Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and account activity within Salesforce Manage expansion opportunities from identification through close Must-haves 3-5+ years of experience in account management, client success, or revenue-focused client-facing roles Proven success managing and growing existing client relationships Experience identifying and closing upsell and cross-sell opportunities Strong business acumen with the ability to connect solutions to measurable client outcomes Experience presenting to and influencing business stakeholders Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce and comfort working with data and analytics tools Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas for clients Ability to balance relationship management with sales execution in a fast-paced environment High level of accountability and results orientation Strong pluses Experience working with banks, credit unions, or financial services organizations Background in consultative selling or strategic client advisory work Experience within SaaS, fintech, or recurring revenue business models Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret trends and performance metrics Experience managing executive-level client relationships Success metrics (first 12 months) Achieve or exceed Net Revenue Retention (NRR) goals Meet or exceed expansion revenue targets Maintain high client retention rates Increase product adoption across assigned accounts Deliver strong client satisfaction and referenceability Growth opportunity This role serves as a strong pathway into more senior client and revenue leadership positions, including larger strategic account ownership and increased revenue responsibility.
