An Equipment Rental Manager oversees the rental of equipment in industries such as construction, landscaping, agriculture, utility, manufacturing, and consumer services. They may also oversee the dispatching of delivery trucks and the loading and securing of materials prior to delivery. These managers must keep records to ensure that inventory is taken properly and certain items are available upon request. They also prepare rental contracts and ensure that they adhere to regional and national laws and regulations.
Overview Lutz Rental is looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Operations Manager to help oversee the day-to-day operations of our equipment rental business. This is a hands-on position at the center of our daily operation. The Operations Manager will coordinate equipment reservations and deliveries, assist customers, communicate with drivers and other employees, and help ensure that equipment gets where it needs to be, when it needs to be there. Responsibilities Manage and coordinate daily equipment reservations and rental schedules Schedule equipment deliveries and pickups while creating efficient routes and prioritizing customer needs Communicate with customers regarding reservations, deliveries, pickups, availability, and changes Assist walk-in customers with equipment rentals and help determine the appropriate equipment for their needs Prepare and manage rental contracts and customer information Coordinate with delivery drivers and other employees throughout the day Keep track of equipment availability, returns, and upcoming reservations Communicate scheduling changes, delays, or equipment issues to customers Help ensure returned equipment is properly checked in and ready for the next rental Work with our mechanic and staff when equipment requires service or repair Handle customer questions and help resolve problems professionally Maintain an organized and efficient rental counter and office Assist with billing, rental extensions, and other administrative tasks related to rentals Help improve operational procedures and overall customer service Support the owner with other day-to-day operational needs What We're Looking For The right person is someone who can stay organized while handling multiple things at once. Our schedule can change quickly, so being able to prioritize, communicate, and solve problems is extremely important.
