Job Description
Our client, a large flooring manufacturer is currently seeking highly motivated and self-driven Account Manager in Chicago. The AM is responsible for using their knowledge of company products to expand the base of accounts, grow sales, and meet customer needs in their respective region. The AM will develop and implement a territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field.
Essential Responsibilities :
Selling hard surface flooring. Increasing business and sales for existing accounts and developing new ones. Weekly travel throughout the territory (up to 4-5 days of overnight travel per month (can change based on territory). Strong and proven ability to sell and close deals on displays, samples and inventory while balancing professional and timely service. Proven ability to foster meaningful, long-term business relationships. Identify and develop opportunities for sales. Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers. Possess in-depth product knowledge. Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule. Analyze the territory/markets potential, track sales, and status reports. Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends. Continuously improve through feedback.Requirements:
Flooring industry background is preferred, similar experience is acceptable A bachelors degree in business or a related field is preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales. Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills, especially persuasion, to clearly convey the benefits of the product to potential customers. Interpersonal skills to work with a variety of people each day, build relationships/network. Excellent time-management skills. Motivated, proactive, and hardworking, with strong problem-solving, creative thinking and interpersonal skills. Confident and strong self-assuredness to succeed.Benefits
