Outside Sales Representative Job Posting Job Summary :
Lawrence Waste Services is looking to hire a full-time waste & recycling Territory Manager to help us continue to expand our growing business. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, self motivated team player that will be able to successfully gain new business, as well as help manage & retain existing business in their assigned market area. We are looking for a candidate that can consistently produce to meet or exceed their monthly new business sales goals through hard work, industry knowledge, and a consultative selling approach. The sales territory will consist and not limited to the Providence RI & surrounding geographical area..Duties & Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of the waste industry in general and of our companies service offerings, customer base and pricing structure in order to effectively generate new business Proactively account call on potential customers, follow up, and prepare solutions based proposals to close sales for new commercial waste & recycling customers Develop & maintain an awareness of competition/market behavior and effectively utilize industry/company knowledge to effectively close sales Use a consultative selling approach to propose solutions that will match a prospective client with the best services we can offer them to improve the customers experience and generate new business Track information on required format regarding all prospective leads,(ACT) sales activities and customer contract expiration dates to maximize short and long run sales success Respond to inbound calls, emails, letters and leads in assigned territory Attend regular meetings with management to review current sales activities and sales funnel, status of key prospects, and pending sales vs monthly budget goals Develop and maintain sales funnel to forecast monthly, quarterly & annual sales opportunities Meet or exceed monthly sales cold calls and new business revenue goals Complete all Customer Service Agreements, ACT, and other reports and projects as assigned by management in a professional and timely manner Participate in company sponsored activities, trade shows and chamber of commerce events as needed to increase company visibility and build relationships Prior to employment a signed waste industry specific non compete agreement will be requiredQualifications :
This is a field-based position. A valid driver's license & reliable transportation are required to get to appointments, the office, and for daily pro-active account calling. Strong verbal & written communication skills required A High School Diploma or GED is required Basic computer skills & familiarity with Microsoft Office products required Waste industry experience is preferred Business to business sales experience is preferred Sales Certifications and Training is preferred A college degree in Business, Marketing or Sales is preferredCompensation Package :
This is a full-time, salary based position. Benefits include a generous vacation & sick time policy that includes buy back of unused time. Other excellent benefits include Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance, as well as a 401(k) Plan & Life Insurance. Additional benefits for this position will also include a monthly commission plan, monthly car allowance and a gas card. Base salary will be based on qualifications. Commission plan will enable a successful sales representative to earn an unlimited monthly bonus based on new business sales figures.
