Position Overview Rack Engineering Division, LLC is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Account Manager to join our team in Alpena, MI. In this role, you will engage with prospective and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met while identifying opportunities to grow and strengthen relationships. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that align with our customers' operational goals. Previous sales or customer service experience in an industrial environment is preferred. Key Responsibilities Develop and nurture strong customer relationships through proactive engagement and consistent follow-up. Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across target industries. Expand existing accounts through strategic cross-selling and solution-based selling. Create and implement account growth strategies aligned with company objectives. Maintain accurate CRM records and manage opportunity pipelines with discipline and attention to detail. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to ensure customer requirements are fully supported. Represent RED with professionalism, confidence, and a consultative sales approach. Conduct daily outreach to potential and existing customers. Present product and service offerings with clarity and confidence. Develop and execute long-term sales strategies. Monitor industry trends and customer preferences to inform sales efforts. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and solution alignment. Skills & Competencies Strong verbal and written communication skills with persuasive clarity. Confident and effective in phone-based outreach and customer engagement. Highly organized with exceptional follow-through. Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently toward defined goals. Positive, resilient mindset with a strong internal drive to succeed. Strong verbal and written communication. Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills. Effective time management and organizational abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in sales and marketing, preferably in an industrial setting. Familiarity with 2D software and mechanical drawings is a plus. Knowledge & Experience Foundational understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management. Experience in inside sales, business development, or customer service environments preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with CRM systems, order processing, and account management is advantageous. Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or material handling environments is a plus. Understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management. Basic knowledge of industrial or manufacturing products (preferred). Awareness of market trends and customer needs. Familiarity with CRM tools and documentation best practices. Education Required - High School Equivalent or better. Preferred - Associates or better in Sales or related field. Experience Required 2 years Cold calling 2 years B2B Sales 2 years Industrial Product Customer Service or Sales What You'll Do at RED Apply product and application knowledge to position RED's solutions as value-driven investments. Identify customer pain points and align them with customized storage solutions. Execute structured outreach campaigns with consistent follow-up. Manage account activity with professionalism, persistence, and accountability. Leverage RED's training program to continuously build product expertise and sales effectiveness. (This is still in a development phase, something you can help develop if you would like) Ability to Implement Proactively engage clients via phone, email, social media, and virtual meetings. Deliver consistent, impactful product and service presentations. Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships. Translate customer needs into actionable solutions with internal teams.
