Account Manager•Manufacturing Solutions Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Account Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key customer relationships, driving business growth, coordinating RFQs and bids, and serving as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing, automotive, wire harnesses, or related industries and possess a strong understanding of customer requirements, pricing strategies, and delivery expectations. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with customers throughout the sales cycle—from initial inquiry and quotation through production launch and ongoing account management. Occasional travel to customer locations in California and Mexico may be required. Key Responsibilities Account Management & Business Development Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for account growth and new business development. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, project updates, and ongoing support. Build long-term partnerships by understanding customer goals, challenges, and future business needs. Proactively identify opportunities to expand product offerings and increase account revenue. RFQs, Bids & Quotations Manage customer RFQs (Requests for Quotation), bids, and pricing activities from initial request through final submission. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and production teams to develop accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals. Review customer specifications, drawings, and requirements to ensure accurate quoting and project feasibility. Track open quotations and follow up with customers to maximize conversion opportunities. Customer Program Coordination Coordinate customer requirements with internal teams to ensure successful project execution and on-time delivery. Monitor production schedules, inventory levels, and delivery commitments to ensure customer expectations are met. Communicate proactively with customers regarding project status, delivery timelines, and any potential issues. Support product launches, engineering changes, and ongoing program management activities. Industry & Market Knowledge Maintain a strong understanding of wire harness manufacturing, automotive supply chains, and customer requirements. Monitor industry trends, market activity, and competitive developments to identify new business opportunities. Provide customer feedback and market intelligence to leadership and operational teams. Sales Forecasting & Reporting Maintain accurate sales forecasts, account activity reports, and pipeline updates. Track customer spending, quote activity, and business opportunities. Provide management with regular updates regarding account performance, new opportunities, and market conditions. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction. Facilitate communication between customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and support project success. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, delivery, and customer service. Travel Travel as needed to customer locations, manufacturing facilities, and industry meetings. Occasional travel to California and Mexico may be required. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Experience Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Account Management, Sales, Business Development, Program Management, or Customer Service within a manufacturing environment. Experience supporting automotive, wire harness, electrical components, electronics, or related industries preferred. Experience managing RFQs, quotations, bids, and customer programs. Skills Strong customer relationship management and communication skills. Ability to interpret customer requirements, drawings, and technical specifications. Experience preparing quotations, pricing proposals, and commercial agreements. Strong organizational and project management skills. Proficiency with CRM systems, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
