Store Manager Job Summary The Equipment & Party Rental Associate assists customers with renting tools, machinery, and event equipment for construction projects, home use, and special events. This role combines customer service, equipment handling, and logistics to ensure a smooth rental experience from reservation to return. Key Responsibilities Help customers choose the right equipment or party rental items (tools, trailers, tents, tables, chairs, inflatables, etc.) Explain rental rates, safety procedures, and usage instructions Process rental agreements, payments, and deposits Inspect equipment before and after rental for safety and functionality Clean, maintain, and organize rental inventory Load and unload equipment safely (by hand or using tools like dollies/forklifts) Coordinate deliveries, pickups, and on-site setups Demonstrate proper use of tools and equipment when needed Troubleshoot customer issues and provide solutions quickly Maintain accurate records of inventory and rentals Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Experience in customer service, construction, or event setup preferred Ability to lift 30-75+ lbs and perform physical tasks Valid driver's license with clean driving record a plus Basic mechanical aptitude (for tools and equipment) Familiarity with computers/POS or rental software Skills & Competencies Strong customer service and communication skills Mechanical and problem-solving ability Time management and organization Attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to work independently and as part of a team Work Environment Combination of indoor (office/warehouse) and outdoor work Exposure to weather, dust, and noise from equipment Physically active role (lifting, bending, loading equipment) Preferred Skills (Not Required) Experience with power tools or construction equipment Event setup experience (tents, staging, inflatables) Forklift certification Trailer towing experience
