Position Overview The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for managing and growing key customer relationships, driving sales, and supporting new business development. This role requires strong technical aptitude, project management capability, and the ability to align customer needs with EFTEC's product and service offerings. Responsibilities Demonstrate proven experience working with OEM automotive customers, understanding their business culture, communication practices, and technical expectations. Develop business plans and growth strategies for assigned accounts. Achieve year-over-year increases in sales and operating income. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Prepare and lead customer meetings, presentations, and business reviews. Coordinate approvals, technologies, and requirements across customer regions. Support partner organizations on business activities related to assigned customers. Manage and coach technical and project management staff. Understand and follow EFTEC processes including PPAP, APQP, and customer concern handling. Optimize sales mix for profit and volume according to annual targets. Maintain all relevant customer contacts within customer portals. Follow all company Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies. Complete required reports, KPI updates, and maintain the daily inventory tracker. Perform additional tasks as assigned in alignment with company goals.
B.A./B.S.
in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 5 years of technical sales or account management experience. Proven success managing complex customer accounts and projects. Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Knowledge of materials, solutions, and processing in an industrial or automotive environment. Project management experience preferred. English required; German language skills a plus. Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Technical aptitude and complex problem-solving ability. Strong self-motivation and teamwork skills. Ability to translate customer needs into practical solutions. Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities.
