Job Description

We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Inside Sales Account Manager to grow and manage business within an assigned territory or customer base. This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering solutions that support customers' electrical handling equipment needs. The Inside Sales Account Manager will work closely with customers, outside sales representatives, vendors, and internal teams to provide responsive service, prepare quotes, follow up on opportunities, and help customers select the right products and solutions. Key Responsibilities Manage and grow relationships with existing customers through proactive phone, email, and digital outreach. Develop new business opportunities by identifying prospective customers, qualifying leads, and maintaining consistent follow-up. Provide product information, pricing, availability, and technical support related to electrical handling equipment and related components. Prepare quotations, proposals, bids, and sales orders accurately and in a timely manner. Follow up on open quotes, inactive accounts, backorders, and customer inquiries to drive revenue growth. Partner with outside sales representatives to support account strategies, customer visits, and larger sales opportunities. Coordinate with purchasing, operations, warehouse, and vendor partners to ensure accurate order fulfillment and customer communication. Maintain detailed customer records, account activity, opportunities, and sales forecasts within the CRM system. Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate complex issues when appropriate. Stay current on product lines, industry developments, competitor activity, and customer applications. Meet or exceed sales activity, revenue, margin, and customer-retention goals. Qualifications Previous inside sales, account management, customer service, or business development experience preferred. Experience in electrical distribution, industrial supply, material handling, equipment sales, or a related technical product environment is strongly preferred. Strong ability to build rapport, uncover customer needs, and recommend value-based solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable managing multiple priorities, following up consistently, and working in a fast-paced sales environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with quotes, orders, pricing, and customer records. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM or ERP systems. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or technical training is a plus. Preferred Skills Knowledge of electrical handling equipment, industrial products, components, or distribution processes. Ability to read product specifications, understand customer applications, and communicate technical information clearly. Experience with quoting, order entry, inventory availability, vendor coordination, and margin management. Proven success meeting sales goals and retaining or expanding customer accounts. A proactive, solution-oriented approach to customer service and sales.
Pay:
$57,000.00 - $61,000.00 per year
