  • Full-time We are a mission-driven nonprofit organization serving individuals with developmental disabilities and are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented team member to assist with financial and benefits coordination for the people we support.
This position plays an important role in helping clients maintain essential benefits, manage personal finances, and ensure accurate financial tracking in compliance with program requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
Assisting with Office of Public Assistance (OPA) applications, renewals, and benefit sign-ups Tracking Social Security income and reporting requirements Managing accounts payable tasks and invoice processing Client account reconciliations and financial recordkeeping Writing checks and maintaining accurate documentation Assisting with Social Security Representative Payee responsibilities Monitoring and reconciling personal bank accounts for clients Maintaining confidentiality and compliance with nonprofit and state regulations Communicating professionally with agencies, vendors, guardians, and team members
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and bookkeeping skills Experience with accounts payable, banking, or financial recordkeeping preferred Knowledge of Social Security, Medicaid, or public assistance programs is a plus Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accurate records Proficient with computers and basic office software Compassionate, dependable, and committed to supporting vulnerable populations Prior nonprofit or developmental disability services experience preferred
