PATHS, LLC
is seeking a reliable and patient-focused Account Representative / Runner to support our healthcare clients from our Cherry Hill, NJ office, with travel to hospital facilities in Pennsylvania as needed . This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working directly with patients, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and serving as a key liaison between hospitals, insurance providers, and internal teams. The Account Representative / Runner plays an essential role in patient advocacy and medical assistance support across multiple client sites. About

Founded in 2000 , PATHS employs approximately 400 team members across four offices in PA, NJ, and DE , supporting more than 100 healthcare clients . Our clients include hospitals, physician groups, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, clinics, emergency departments, medical transport services, home health agencies, and behavioral health providers. Key Responsibilities Assist patients with applying for medical assistance and benefit programs Counsel patients on medical bills, insurance coverage, and available financial resources Work collaboratively with patients, physicians, nursing staff, pharmaceutical providers, and insurance companies Serve as a runner between client facilities as needed to support operational needs Travel to hospital and healthcare client sites in Pennsylvania as required (mileage reimbursed) Accurately document patient interactions and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Required Qualifications Bilingual English/Spanish preferred , but not required Valid driver's license, current car insurance, and reliable personal vehicle Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Detail-oriented, trustworthy, organized, and goal-driven Comfortable working in hospital and healthcare environments Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Preferred Experience Experience working in a healthcare facility Insurance billing, Medicaid eligibility, or revenue cycle experience Patient advocacy or social work background Physical & Environmental Requirements Frequent movement between hospital departments and client facilities Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds Reliable transportation required for travel between sites Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities Pre-Employment Requirements Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of applicable screenings in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
