JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a Dedicated Account Manager who will grow and manage current business with existing a accounts through relationship building and strategic account management. You will familiarize yourself with your portfolio of accounts and build rapport with shippers, receivers and all other account stakeholders through daily communication and virtual ( for now)meetings. Success in this role will be defined by high service levels, meeting KPI's and strengthened relationships whole growing overall revenue and maintaining healthy economics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide best in class service/communication to assigned core customers Act as main point of contact on all assigned accounts Drive contractual volume and add strategic spot volume Accountable for customer emails being responded to with 10min of receiving Accountable for providing pricing to customers upon request Accountable for best practices being maintained with TMS/Portals Create and maintain account specific SOP docs for assigned accounts Work proactively with customers to provide cheapest rates at highest quality of service Monitor and manage account's building, scheduling, and tracking responsibilities Monitor and manage account's shipments to assure best practices are maintained "Close out" accessorial requests ( TONU, driver assist, detention, etc.) within 24 hrs of carrier's request
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and related experience 2-3 years of experience as an account manager in Logistics Strong problem solving and reasoning ability Excellent communication, both written and verbal Ability to read and interpret accounting and financial reports Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment, under time pressure Ability to work long hours/flexible schedule, if necessary Ability to work independently Attention to detail and accuracy
