Account Manager —
Cannabis Sales Location:
New Jersey, (field-based with regular travel to retail accounts)
Compensation:

NJ's adult-use market is one of the most exciting in the country right now, and we're building something special in it. We're a growing cannabis brand looking for our first dedicated Account Manager to own and grow our existing retail relationships. Our CEO assists in new-door acquisition and brings new dispensary partners on board, your job is to make sure every one of those doors thrives. You'll be the day-to-day face of the brand for our retail partners: keeping shelves stocked, budtenders educated, and accounts healthy and reordering on schedule. This is a relationship-driven, field-heavy role for someone who's organized, proactive, and genuinely loves being in stores talking about product. What You'll Do Account Management (core of the role) Own the reorder cadence for all existing retail accounts — know when each door should be restocking and make sure it happens Monitor sell-through at the store level and flag accounts that are over- or under-stocked Send timely restock nudges and place reorders with buyers before shelves run dry Resolve account issues quickly — delivery hiccups, product questions, pricing discrepancies, returns Build durable relationships with buyers, inventory managers, and store leadership Budtender Education & In-Store Support Schedule and lead budtender trainings on our products, effects, formats, and brand story Conduct regular store visits to check shelf placement, merchandising, and display quality Advocate for better positioning and visibility within each store Support key-account trainings and visits alongside the CEO CRM & Pipeline Hygiene Log every call, visit, and touchpoint in the CRM — no exceptions Keep order history, account notes, and contact info accurate and up to date Maintain clean account records so leadership always has a real-time view of the book of business What We're Looking For 2+ years in sales, account management, or field marketing — cannabis, beverage/alcohol, CPG, or pharma rep experience strongly preferred Familiarity with the cannabis retail environment (dispensary operations, buyer dynamics, compliance basics) is a major plus Strong organizational habits — you run a tight calendar and never let an account go cold Comfortable presenting and training in front of groups of budtenders Self-directed and reliable in a field role with minimal day-to-day supervision Proficiency with CRM software (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; regular regional travel required Must be 21+ and able to obtain any state-required cannabis industry permit/badge Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $55,000-$65,000, depending on experience
