The Commercial Account Segment Leader is responsible for managing and growing ARC's Commercial and Retail segments across North America. This role combines strategic account management of two key historical customers with the development of new business opportunities within both segments. The primary responsibility of the position is to manage one major Commercial Account experiencing strong growth driven by favorable market trends, while supporting a second key Retail customer. In addition, the role is expected to expand both segments by identifying new customers, applications, and distribution opportunities aligned with ARC's manufacturing capabilities.This position requires a strong account management mindset combined with business development capabilities.
This position will report to the VP of Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Key Account Management- Serve as primary commercial lead for two key historical accounts
- Manage day-to-day business, forecasts, and customer communication
- Support customer growth initiatives and new program launches
- Lead pricing discussions and commercial negotiations
- Ensure alignment between customer demand and internal capacity
- Build strong executive and operational relationships
- Coordinate cross-functional support (operations, supply chain, finance, marketing) Commercial Segment Leadership
- Manage and grow the Commercial Account segment
- Support continued expansion of the key commercial account
- Identify new commercial customers and applications
- Expand value-added decoration opportunities
- Monitor market trends supporting segment growth Retail Segment Support & Development
- Support the existing retail account, warehouse Club, and manage ongoing programs
- Coordinate product launches and seasonal programs
- Work with internal teams to improve service and execution
- Identify opportunities to expand retail footprint
- Develop additional retail private label or ARC branded opportunities Business Development
- Identify and develop new customers within Commercial and Retail segments
- Build and manage pipeline of opportunities
- Grow revenue and improve margin within assigned segments
- Participate in trade shows and customer visits
- Support development of new product concepts aligned with market needs
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.- 5-10 years of B2B or CG sales or account management experience
- Experience managing key accounts in manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills
- Ability to balance account management and new business development
- Experience with retail or commercial distribution channels preferred
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations and supply chain
- Willingness to travel (20-30%)
