Key Account Manager Location:
Hybrid in Gainesville, GA Our client is seeking a Key Account Manager to take ownership of a substantial, established relationship with a major manufacturing customer and unlock its next stage of growth. This is a high-visibility opportunity for someone who combines strategic account leadership with exceptional project management. Rather than building a territory from scratch, you will step into a successful $10M+ account with significant untapped potential, strong customer access, and an internal team ready to support execution. The opportunity is to protect what has already been built while finding the next program, product, application, and solution that expands the partnership. This Role Offers Immediate ownership of an established $10M+ strategic account with significant room for continued growth. A relationship-driven sales model focused on expanding an existing partnership rather than traditional cold prospecting. High visibility with customer stakeholders and opportunities to influence new programs, solutions, and technical initiatives. Strong internal support plus a hybrid structure that blends strategic sales, project leadership, and customer engagement. Focus Own the strategy for a large manufacturing account, balancing customer retention, profitability, and long-term growth. Develop and execute account plans that translate customer priorities and challenges into new revenue opportunities. Build trusted relationships across purchasing, operations, engineering, and leadership through frequent customer interaction. Lead complex initiatives from discovery through implementation while maintaining clear milestones, ownership, and follow-through. Coordinate engineering, product development, manufacturing support, inside sales, and operations resources around customer priorities. Expand share of wallet by identifying new products, programs, applications, and process improvement opportunities. Anticipate account risks and customer pain points, mobilizing internal resources to develop effective solutions. Maintain visibility into opportunities, business reviews, customer activity, and account performance through disciplined CRM and pipeline management. Skill Set Strong project or program management capability with exceptional organization, process discipline, and follow-through. Proven ability to manage, protect, and grow a large strategic customer relationship, ideally a $10M+ account or comparable level of complexity. Strong customer-facing and interpersonal skills with the professional maturity to build credibility across stakeholder levels. Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving engineering, R D, production, operations, sales, or other technical teams. Growth mindset focused on expanding established customer relationships through deeper integration and new opportunities. Ability to identify customer pain points and translate them into actionable commercial or operational solutions. Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, prioritization, and problem-solving skills. Industrial manufacturing, technical sales, engineering, operations, process improvement, or strategic account management experience preferred. Experience working with OEMs, industrial components, engineered products, or manufacturing environments is beneficial. Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, marketing, or a related field is preferred, although equivalent relevant experience will be considered. Valid driver's license and approved driving record.
