Job Description
Personal Lines Account ManagerAbout the OpportunityOur client is a growing independent insurance agency looking to add a Personal Lines Account Manager/Agent to its team.
This position is ideal for a licensed Property & Casualty professional who enjoys working directly with clients, developing new business, managing an existing book of personal lines accounts, and identifying opportunities to expand client relationships.
The successful candidate will be comfortable balancing sales, account management, renewals, and day-to-day client service while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage new personal lines opportunities from initial inquiry through quoting, coverage review, application, and binding.
Maintain and develop an assigned book of personal lines business.
Conduct proactive renewal reviews and work to retain clients over the long term.
Identify opportunities to move single-policy clients into broader insurance relationships.
Look for appropriate cross-selling and account-rounding opportunities.
Explain home, auto, umbrella, and related insurance products in a clear and straightforward manner.
Handle routine service needs, including policy changes, endorsements, billing questions, and coverage updates.
Maintain accurate account information and timely documentation.
Work closely with other members of the agency to provide a consistent client experience.
Utilize agency management systems, CRM tools, comparative raters, and other technology to manage accounts efficiently.
Stay current on client needs, policy details, and applicable insurance requirements.
QualificationsActive New Hampshire Property & Casualty license required.
Maine and/or Massachusetts licensing is a plus.
Previous personal lines insurance experience preferred.
Strong candidates with a P&C license and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to explain insurance coverage clearly to clients.
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines.
Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems.
Interest in using modern and AI-supported tools to improve efficiency.
Strong teamwork and relationship-building skills.
Client-focused approach with excellent follow-through.

This is a salary-based position with no commission structure, allowing the successful candidate to focus on client relationships, account retention, and quality service.
